We have used these batteries (2x 24V 2.6kW batteries) ourselves since 2019, in conjunction with a GroWatt 3000W Solar Inverter, which also has a 24V – 80 AMP MPPT Charge Controller, designed for multiple battery chemistries (Lead Acid, AGM, LiFePo4, Li-Ion, Deep-cycle, etc).
GroWatt inverters are perfect for RV / Motorhomes, Off-Grid cabins, solar sheds, etc. These units have are ALL-IN-ONE – they have Solar Inverters, MPPT Charge Controller, and can can be installed in pairs to give 120V / 240V split phase power. If you buy a bigger unit, (5000W +) you can have 120/240 without using 2 inverters (detailed review coming).
Our LiFePo4 suppliers:
Our supplier – BatteryEvo, which also operates TechDirectClub, has multiple capacity batteries in 12V, 24V, 36V and 48V. Some 48V batteries rival Tesla’s Powerwall in capacity (12.5kWh vs 13.5kWh for Tesla) at a mere fraction of the cost ($4,299 vs $10,500), and has superior, and much safer Lithium chemistry, compared to Tesla’s Li-Ion.
You can use our coupon code REMODELCALC on either site to get 7% on all products + FREE shipping + no sales tax!
All other suppliers charge shipping, which on can get as high as $200-300.
Tesla’s Solar and Powerwall is a joke!
Tesla’s solar division is a nearly bankrupt SolarCity. They use low-quality Qcell solar panels, don’t offer Micro Inverters, and hire low quality local solar crews that cant find work on their own.
Also, you can’t buy Powerwall, unless you get Tesla’s solar panels, which is a total joke in itself:
I sighed a 13.6KW solar + 4 Powerwall contract with Tesla, and then waited 11 months for Tesla to tell me they can’t install solar on my south facing roof slope. Instead they offered to install 4.08kW of solar on NORTH facing roof slope – WHAAAAT???
